Birthdays are weird. It can feel as if on this one day you age an entire year. But we both know it’s just another day (literally, a Wednesday ugh), except it’s one where you can unapologetically treat yourself for being you, and well, awesome. So, go make the most of the day. Hopefully you have a bit of time with friends, in the beautiful Durham sun, and with only a manageable amount of school work to do. Hopefully with some time to reflect proudly on all you accomplished so far, and to look forward with excitement about the year ahead. Hopefully in the moment, and for the most part away from screens.
